A few Paintings from final major project. My shady, whimtastical man loitering under the streetlight.
The finest darn teapot I’ve ever seen. A crying shame that its trapped behind the glass confines of Leeds City Museum.
Images from final project of 2nd year. My first foray into Menswear has been very, very fun and I look forward to exploring its possibilities further in third year. Yes, my last and final year of degree..gah.
Complacency.
YES, I have been extremely neglectful of this whole digital thing. As previously warned, my priorities lie with my practical work. Hardly a crime I think.
BUT there is a whole summer ahead of me in which I shall go to Canada, learn how to weave, head to Goodwood Revival in fantastical vintage garb and much, much more and I will try to my full technological extent to document it here.
A Hitchcock a day keeps reality at bay.
Thoroughly enjoying a few Alfred Hitchcock classics on 4. Sharply dressed men, elegant ladies, drama, suspense…mmm…yes. The most perfect accompaniment doing work.
LETTERPRESS
Had an introduction to letterpress today and thought to be a wonderful process. Time consuming, tricky to get rid of that wobble…but…rewarding.
Examples to follow..
COLOUR
Chomping at the bit…can’t wait to release colour back in to my work. Yay for final project!
A few sketches and collaged photos from week two of the drawing project. A nice foothold for final project. More to come…
Gotta love that night sky. Some late night Leeds scenes providing inspiration for this drawing project. Two weeks of drawing = heaven.
roll on summer. Donny Hathaway- I believe to my soul.
the most perfect accompaniment to this grey, dreary day.
A few developed pieces from my most recent project. Carrying on with the mountain scenes. Both hand dyed and screen printed.
Had a wonderful time doing this project. Whiling away hours in the dye lab and print room was bliss, however, the fumes had a questionable effect on my sanity.
…looking forward to the next project!
Zander Olsen wraps trees in cloth to follow landscapes. Lovely bit of land art.
